An Artarmon man feels richly blessed after winning $100,000 in the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot draw in February 2021.
The winner, who learned the news after receiving a call from Lotteries officials, wishes to remain anonymous.
When asked what he’s planning to do with the money, he said he’s planning to spoil himself with a new car or motorbike as well as plan a future trip to Asia. He can’t wait to share the news with his friends and family, and is also planning to take all his friends to a fancy restaurant.
“I would love to spoil myself; I might look into getting myself a new car, or even a motorbike,” he told the Lotteries official in an interview.
“I’ll also do some travelling and will put some away for a future trip to Asia. I’ll save the rest,” he added.
And that’s not the end of the story. Lightning strikes twice for this Artarmon local because he also scored a consolation prize of $2,000, boosting his total prize to $102,000.
In the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot, there are 10 cash prize levels and 10 consolation prize levels, plus a chance to win the jackpot amounting to minimum $500,000 and increases by $130,000 if the jackpot prize is not won.
To win the consolation, one needs to have any number that is one number off the 1st prize winning number. Aside from the cash prize, Lucky Lotteries also give free tickets as consolation prizes.
Unlike other lottery games, each number in Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot is unique so there is no sharing of prizes. Each game has a set amount of numbers per draw and once all available numbers are sold, the winning numbers are drawn using a random number generator.
